Thailand
Bangkok is certainly filled with stylish people, but the dominant impression I had of Bangkok's fashion scene is that their malls are ruled by school girls. And what chic school girls they are! Simple navy pleated skirts and crisp white button-downs were the outfit templates, but in terms of shoes there was everything from demure flats to diva stilettos, and everyone was rocking the low-slung skinny belts. Man, I should have gone to private school.
Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur is another pretty stylish city. Nobody seems to walk around in simply flip-flops! And a casual hoodie? You had better accessorize the hell out of it if you're going to do that. However don't go overboard on the sexiness; people dress modest here. Even in the clubs, you are more likely to see flirty flowered dresses, than hoochie Baby Phat minis.
This cute flowery TopShop dress was love at first sight. You can't see it, but there are little buttons on the chest and a tied empire waist. This dress is totally versatile. I wore it alone in the summer heat, and back in Canada with a long grey cardigan and gladiators.
Taiwan
Taiwan is the land of shopping as far as I can tell. The thing I found hilarious about Asian stores was that they rarely seemed to open before 10-11am and then didn't close until midnight, which was perfect for me and my natural sleep rhythms! Plus, how can you go wrong with stores selling $3 skirts? Styles here ranged from Serena van der Woodsen, to Harajuku Girl, with blatantly obnoxious textual graphic tees everywhere. The shoe shopping was also amazing with countless shoe store options and shoes in every style and colour. As well, if you have teeny feet like me, then you've got it made because most shoes will carry sizes smaller than the average North American store. If variety is the spice of life, then Taiwanese like it hot.

The gladiators and the black dress with the pockets are awesome
Hahaha and I thought you were joking when your MSN status said you were poor! There were some really droolworthy looks in there. I think you may have inspired me to take loads of changing room pics when I go shopping on my upcoming trip.
I love your blog! :)

Koko: I KNOW!! Such a tragedy isn't it. Hehe back off sista! Those heels are mine. Unless you're willing to negotiate a borrowing trade :)
Haha - woohoo, go Malaysia! When I was there, my favorite place for cheap finds was a shop called "F.O.S"? ("fashion outlet store") they had a lot of Gap/Abercrombie/Hollister stuff there for super cheap! I was buying GAP camisoles for like $5, (real) Paul Frank tank tops for $3....
