Product Review: Estee Lauder Spotlight Skin Tone Perfector

Estee Lauder Spotlight Skin Tone Perfector

Considering it's the dominant feature on your face, having good skin can help a lot to achieving a flawless, natural look. Though this product cannot promise you instantly clear skin, it can help you on those horrid mornings when you feel like crap and your skin is a blotchy mess. Estee Lauder's Spotlight Skin Tone Perfector ($32) contains a mix of antioxidants, vitamins C and E, and a little bit of shimmer to moisturize, protect, and give you a youthful glow. Though the product directions tell you to apply the product to your entire face, I would highly recommend not doing so. The shimmer in this lotion is colored a slight iridescent pink that wouldn't look flattering across the forehead, or other areas not normally pink. The best use for this product is as a highlighter along the areas you would normally apply blush, like the apples of your cheeks. It's also great for those who are rushed in the mornings since it is practically goof-free and gives you a fresh appearance. As for its skin tone evening abilities, the product does seem to remove blotching, but for more major cases of redness, foundation is a much better solution.

Final Verdict: Gives your cheekbones a subtle, rosy glow and erases minor blotches. Satisfaction, if not perfection.

Sounds like a good product for a good price. I would however prefer to get something that worked wonders on the whole face, not just cheekbones.

what a well written review =] it makes me want to try the product! but in reality, my beauty regimen consists of washing my face & a dab of lip balm or gloss =]

Hmm I wonder if the shimmer particles would worsen your skin in the long run by clogging pores? I ask because I used to buy Aveeno Positively Radiant face cleanser and found that the shimmer in the cleanser clogged my pores after a while.

If i didn't know about the shimmer and put it all over my face, in certain light, I would look like a sparkle bug!!!

i use kiehl's blue herbal moisturizer for overall skin perfection. because i have oily skin, shimmer doesnt fly. blue herbal gets rid of shine, fights zits, evens skin tone, makes pores look smaller, and it's $22!
