They call me mellow yellow

Turtleneck: can't remember
Skirt: Urban Behaviour
Tights: H&M
Pumps: from Taiwan

I was going to wear this as my offbeat office look, but changed shoes, tights and skirt once I looked out the window and saw rain (hey, judging by this photo it looked quite bright out!). As you can see, I was experimenting with my poses. The thought process of this outfit was to begin with a severe all black ensemble and pulled back hair to evoke a sophisticated, reserved look. However, as common readers will know, I do like to put a spot of fun in my looks, so I had to slip on this pair of patent buttercup yellow pumps to lighten things up a bit, and I think it totally makes this outfit! The only thing missing is a flirty yellow chiffon neck scarf! Perhaps once my shopping ban is over I can look for one.

This look is quite a departure from the usual for you! I don't think I've ever seen you wear this much black all in one go, and the shoes are so cute. Question: Did you find them slipping off your feet as you walked? I can't wear tights with heels unless they have ankle or T-straps for that very reason.

Great look - I love how you went for all black and used your yellow pumps as your pop of color. Stunning!

Those shoes are delicious, I've been craving yellow for spring myself. Just wish the weather would cooperate!
