Recently, I also got a press release about a not-for-profit agency out of the US and Canada call The Fresh Air fund. This charitable fund acts as a means for families in disadvantaged, urban communities to send their children to volunteer host families for a summer vacation in places they may not otherwise ever have the chance to visit, expanding their horizons and brightening their outlook with positive life experiences.
