These are not hooker boots

Headband: Claire's
Sequined scarf: Old Navy
White tank: RW & Co
Boyfriend cardigan, liquid leggings: Urban Outfitters
Boots: Aldo

One of my coworkers thought I was wearing hooker boots today because he could not tell where my leather boots ended, and my liquid leggings began - I'm not sure what I think about that remark! I felt rather bad-ass and comfy in this outfit, which could be somewhat of a surprise to some, but attitude doesn't have to equate to discomfort! I love the endless line of my legs paired with the boho-rock feel of the long cardigan and sequined scarf. You could say that this outfit was even inspired by Serena of Gossip Girl, who is my favourite style star of the show. Everything Serena wears is carefully constructed and yet looks utterly effortless, modern, and sexy. The layers, rocker sequins, headband, and casual-chic feel are all Serena staples. If I wore this outfit out at night, I would further add some chunky layered statement necklaces in alternating gold and silver for a special touch of glam. How do the other Serena lovers out there think of this outfit? Any tips are appreciated too!

Is it wrong that I totally love them as hooker boots? Lol, it just reminds me of when Victoria B stepped out in those thigh (crotch?) high latex numbers with the no heel :)

OH - doing a dress giveaway on my blog - new with tags, forever 21 and all that mumbo jumbo :)

And I ship anywhere (almost) worldwide, just for your dear readers to know (I know where you live lol).

No, they are awesome boots!. To me, it doesn't makes sense when people associate a particular style of item to a group, like say hookers". It's more about the whole outfit than any specific item. Sure, hookers have done a good job of making certain outfits look pretty trashy. But that doesn't mean that the individual items they are wearing are trashy, they've just put together an outfit to make them look trashy. (And probably intentionally so)

Even with things like thigh-high boots, there's been the occasional girl I've seen pulling them off with a clubbing type outfit, and it looks good, not trashy or "hooker-esque" at all.

my two cents anyways.

it's a fine line when wearing either liquid leggings or high boots so you are a brave woman to put those two together! I love the look but have yet to try it.

Gorgeous outfit doll. As someone who studies Gossip Girl fashion I can appreciate what you've noticed about Serena's personal style.

I love the chic fashion punk style but if you're aiming for a Serena look my personal recommendation:

Ditch the headband and let your hair be free. Try putting one bright piece (accessory or changing the color of your shirt) on.

Your boots are fabulous, excellent job layering.

Very cool outfit. I've always loved the combo of a long cardigan with leggings and boots. Serena would probably show a little more cleavage ;-) But I really don't think that's necessary. And you're right about the chunky necklaces or perhaps a chunky hair accessory?
