Those jackets are wicked. They are seriously so cool, I'm not even sure if I could pull it off. Is that Kim Kardashian? She's actually working that! Now where can I go find it...

Btw, I have the SAME problem with my hair (super straight/slippery), so I totally recommend "day 2" hair, so that it's a little dirtier, and definitely curling it helps. I use a 1" iron to spiral my hair - even if it doesn't show in the style, it help the bun stay put. Using pomade while you're braiding helps it get some texture too.
For my copper colors, I just used whatever I could find, I can't remember off the top of my head, but I'll go back & let you know. I'll also try doing a tutorial this weekend since it's a long holiday weekend.
You should still try the side bun and braid! =)
