I haven't had a food lust for awhile, but after a week of heavy meat-filled dim sum lunches and a meat-filled bento box last night, the desire for light, fresh, fare is strong. Enter in one of my favourite fruits, the humble mango. Juicy, sweet, melt-in-your-mouth textures all combine to result in a tangy fruit sensation party! Nothing says summer like some ripe fruits and this tropical beauty is certainly worth picking up. Sorry 100-mile dieters, look like you lose out again ;)

YUM! I love mangoes! Strawberries, peaches, cherries and kiwi are also my favorites. Do you have a farmers market near you? I wish I did! It's hard to get really fresh fruit where I am.
I think its funny when people cut their mangos in cubes like the picture above . . .I strip away all the skin then cut them into long strips. . .but then again, other people probably think its funny when I cut my mangos too! haha

My favorite fruit by far. I had it all the time when I lived in Asia, but it's really hard to get in Europe :/ I just have to settle with the dried version, which is better than nothing.

Are you kidding! Love mangos! My grandma has a mango tree in her patio in Dominican Republic. When they are ready they fall off, usually on peoples heads.. lol

Mangoes are the best! It's a pity that they are sort of not in season in Malaysia right now. Durian, mangosteen and lychee are everywhere now hahaha
