Preggers or perfect?

White tee: American Eagle
Striped babydoll tank: Bluenotes
Leggings: Urban Outfitters

Here is me trying to look tall in this photo, and not quite succeeding. This tank top was super cheap as I used my employee discount at the time. One thing I've discovered thru this series of outfit posts is that I really am quite a fan of stripes! There is something so chameleon-like about stripes to me as they can embody a variety of looks from nautical, to European chic, to cool hipster, to preppy. My look here I would say is something of a cross between casual-coolness and neo-maternity wear as I could imagine an expectant mother would wear this outfit in order to maintain comfort and stylishness. Does it bother me to compare my outfit to a pregnant woman? I'd like to think I'm secure enough with myself and my body to admit it and be ok! Have you ever worn anything you could compare to maternity wear?

i have 5 "maternity" tops.
they are great for hiding a little belly that is too much to hold in or when going to a buffet.
i love them! they give me good cleavage too :)

Yeah I've always been a fan of stripes, it's one of those things that it's in, then it's out, then it's in again. So good to have around!

I love stripes, and I vehemently disagree with those who say that shorties can't wear horizontal stripes! It depends on the fit and the proportion of the stripe, but we can rock it. ;)

Looks very cute. You seem to have a good sense of how to make stripes look good. Still need to figure out how that works better.

And.. I've never worn anything I would compare to maternity wear. haha

Cute and comfy...that's all that matters! :) I don't do stripes very often, but they look great on you.

hahaha not preggers at all! I hadn't even thought that until you'd mentioned and all I can think about know is what a cutie expectant ummy you'd make with a growing bubs in your tum ;)

Aaaah ze staff discounts. I only received 10% off but the bags were all above $700 :( BOOO

You don't look preggers! As a fellow shortie I love that you're rocking the horizontal stripes! I love them!

I've never bought anything maternity before, but my guy friends have been complaining recently about how empire-waisted items make girls look pregnant. It must be one of those girl pretty vs. guy pretty things!

Cute leggings! Urban is so good for finding trendy items at decent prices. I always shop them through Ebates.com because I get cash back on my purchase!

You should have at least worn vertical stripes if you wanted to look taller.

Horrible outfit overall. It's unbelievable to me that people actually ask you for fashion tips.
