post-salon: curls done with a flat-ironI really love the cool curls my stylist put in, but I despaired ever being able to achieve anything close to it at home as my hair is notoriously stubborn. Anytime I try to do anything more complicated than a ponytail, my hair will slowly escape like Houdini from its bondage of bobby pins and clips. As well, holding any curl for longer than a few minutes requires chemical intervention on the scale of an atomic bomb. According to my stylist the reason for my hair woes is because my hair is too healthy. Is such a thing even possible?!
However, I'm never one to just quit a good fight. I had a wedding to go to the next day and despite basically sleeping upside-down so as not to flatten my hair, it was sadly moderately crushed the next day. Freaking out, I repaired the damage with my curling iron. I think I did an alright job considering I never curl my hair and it amazingly lasted all night!

LOVE IT! You haircut turned out way better than mine, when I got my hair cut last week the stylist put in tons of mouse and WHAMO - instant afro! The bangs look fantastic, you are such a babe!
Awesome hairstyle! Looks great on you. And believe it or not, my stylist said the same about my hair being too healthy, which is why it won't hold a curl or anything else. Odd, right? Still not sure whether or not to believe it. He also told me curling works best on unwashed frizzier hair.
Oh, and that MAC concealer on the far left is the best thing ever. I've been using it for well almost 8 years now.

Curls really suit you- very pretty indeed!
I have to spray in a tonne of curling mist before I attempt any wavy do's followed by hair spray too, but I blame it on the humidity in HK that relaxes my curls haha.
