A rare photo of me kind of wearing my glasses. I hate wearing glasses as they are always slipping down my nose and I feel as if I am looking through a little window instead of having full peripheral vision (peripherals are important!). I like playing the various colors of this outfit together, the black and white, and the magenta and turquoise against gold sandals. It's interesting to mix up your color combinations and recently I've been actively trying to do that more. Nobody told me I'm terribly clashing yet, but I'm sure one day my time will come.
In other news, I had a conversation today with a friend about forgiveness and what is unforgivable. Apparently I am too forgiving! Not surprising I suppose, since many times I bite my tongue in the interest of keeping the peace, but I don't feel like a pushover? What then is worth forgiving and what is not? Is it good to be forgiving, or does it only lead to people taking advantage of your niceness?

And I'm so glad I got my eyes lasered and don't need to deal with glasses or contacts anymore. But it's funny, I find glasses look really good on girls. Why I think they look good when I know how big a pain in the ass they are, I don't know.

and yes being a pushover sucks, especially when you really don't know you're doing it. I'm torn between being a pushover at work and being extremely bossy outside of it..I think we all need to learn how to find a middle ground (im still working on that)haha
I definitely know what you mean about glasses. I haven't worn my glasses in so long, on the rare occasion I put them on it feels so wrong! About forgiveness, I am the same way - if it means keeping the peace I will more often than not keep my mouth shut. I believe that in most cases it's best to let things go (not saying if someone did something horrible to you that you need to back down or play it off) but "letting go" as in moving on with your life, otherwise the negativity can just eat away at anything good!
Betrayal is unforgivable to me. And I rarely think it clashes if you play colors off one another.

forgiveness is important, i suppose, i'm just not keen on doing it all that often. it's not easy, but i think it's one of those things that come with age, we learn the importance of it as we get older, but we also learn that not all things are forgive-able and need to know how to distinguish b/w what is and what isn't.

I didn't start regularly wearing my glasses until my freshman year of University and now they're such a part of my "look" I feel naked without them. Once, I ran across the street to Starbucks in the morning without my glasses on, and ran into a friend there - he didn't recognize me!
I'm also a "forgiver", but sometimes I do feel like a pushover. Overall though, I think it's good to be forgiving - but it would be great if you could limit the amount of advantage-taking!
i think i'm pretty nice with the forgiveness factor. i mean, yeah i'll forgive them but it's not like i'll forget what they did. i won't bare a grudge but i'll just be more careful.
i don't like wearing glasses either but sometimes contacts really annoy me. i've been wearing them for what seems like forever. literally. it would be really awesome to swim with perfect vision. i dont even remember how that feels.

Ha! Glasses. I'm exactly the same. I hate wearing them. I feel ugly, they slip down my non existent nose (part of being asian right?) and they BLOCK me from seeing the world! I hate having something in front of my face! UGH! I even have a hard time keeping sunglasses on when it's sunny!

Forgiveness is a great thing and you must have a big heart to be deemed as too forgiving. I don't think holding grudges thru life is worth it and I think they take a toll. There's a difference between the ability to forgive and bring a pushover- never confuse the two.it takes a bigger person to forgive

Wow thanks for all the sweet comments guys! It's so difficult to tell what is and isn't forgiveable and really depends on the person too and situation too. I do forgive someone continuously, but it does take a toll as I never consider them a friend, or as close a friend again.
I love the colour combination... and I LOVE YOUR BAG!!! Michael Kors accessories are the best.
I'm too forgiving as well, but ultimately it can lead to people using you as they feel like you are a pushover. I fell out with a 'friend' recently because I, like you, bit my tongue many a time to keep the peace, even when I heard her lying outright. It all ended up with her trying to poison my best friends against me and getting her boyfriend to shout at me until I cried because I was too reluctant to involve anyone in the argument meaning that I didn't have anyone on my side (not even my boyfriend knew the true extent of it). My advice is to stay true to yourself - people will know that you're a good person - but remember that being firm and strong and saying no is definitely the right thing to do sometimes. Now I don't care if I make an awkward moment as long as I make clear that I don't take any rubbish from people!

i think its easier to be forgiving than to not forgive because i think we don't like conflict and it can be good and bad. i always have this problem too because i'm very forgiving. lately i'm only forgiving people only if they make up for it. i think it's only fair that way.
I'm pretty forgiving, too, but I don't think that's necessarily a problem. Life is too short to hold grudges!
