Not the best White Stripes album, but the title track was pretty cool you have to admit. This photo makes me miss my bangs. Don't bangs just look awesome when you pull your hair back? However, I have heard that girls love bangs, but men hate them. As one guy friend told me, only kawaii Japanese girls can get away with bangs. Dammit, why can't I be a kawaii Japanese girl?!? Oh wait, because I already get made fun of for being a little perky munchkin. Life is hard if you're short sometimes. Nobody ever compares you to giant, statuesque goddesses, it's all cuteness and silliness for short chicks. Although I guess I don't help it with my secret love/obsession with all things kawaii! If I had my way and knew nobody would make fun of me, I would totally fob out my apartment and work desk with cute stuffed animals and gadgets of the Sanrio ilk. Maybe I should move to Japan.

I so agree - bangs are the cutest thing; especially when you pull your hair back. I have had bangs for years, and would never cut them. And if boys hate them...well, too bad for them. I will forever love them! :)
I love those boots! Don't worry about the bangs, I have them now too and my BF didn't really like them but oh well, I like 'em and that's all that matters!
Correction: Kawaii Japanese girls and hipster crushes like Zooey Deschanel can get away with bangs. On the former they look kawaii, on the latter they make the girl look like a, well, hipster.

i'm giant and statuesque. And I'm pretty sure goddess is unrelated. haha. I would trade to be shorter anyday, think of it this way - you can wear heels as high as the sky and your options in cute guys aren't limited (I actually have a 6 foot rule... if you're under 6 feet tall, I'm just not that into you).But I do agree - cute Japanese girls can rock anything!

Funny, when I got bangs 2 years back, hubby did not like them either. Men, majority of them at least, think so differently!
love the colour. bangs would be very cute on you but you're right about most men not liking them. My hubby hated it when i had school girl bangs. he's fine with side swept or longer ones, but not the super school girly kind. i already look young as it is!
as a short little asian girl, i can totally relate! people always first think of you as the cute, silly girl! but i guess i'm okay with that! :) and yes... men are so pick with hair anyways... they like long not short, no bags, no curls just straight... bah blah blah. haha! ;P
I love your bangs, they look awesome. And I have to agree about the pulled back hair making bangs look good thing. When I had fringe bangs down my forehead, the only way they ever looked good was when I had my hair up in a bun or ponytail - it's weird. but yeah and I know what you mean about the whole short girl being associated with all things cute, or just being called "cute" all the time, which can get trying after awhile, but I guess we can't fight what we were born with right?
