Ex-Factor
I can't think of anything to write about at the moment, so I'll let the lyrics of one of my favourite songs speak for me. This song is from the gorgeous, insanely, talented Lauryn Hill at the peak of her stardom, with the classic Miseducation of Lauryn Hill album. This song speaks to me. Been there, done that. Don't let its lyrics depress you though, the melody and Lauryn's gorgeous voice ends up lifting you up more than bringing you down. However I only wanted to post the lyrics since I feel that we don't appreciate songwriting as much as we do image.
Ex-Factor
It could all be so simple
But you'd rather make it hard
Loving you is like a battle
And we both end up with scars
Tell me, who I have to be
To get some reciprocity
See, no one loves you more than me
And no one ever will
Is this just a silly game
That forces you to act this way
Forces you to scream my name
Then pretend that you can't stay
Tell me, who I have to be
To get some reciprocity
See, no one loves you more than me
And no one ever will
Hook:
No matter how I think we grow
You always seem to let me know
It ain't workin'
It ain't workin'
And when I try to walk away
You'd hurt yourself to make me stay
This is crazy
This is crazy
I keep letting you back in
How can I explain myself
As painful as this thing has been
I just can't be with no one else
See I know what we got to do
You let go and I'll let go too
'Cause no one's hurt me more than you
And no one ever will
Repeat Hook
Care for me, care for me
You said you care for me
There for me, there for me
Said you'd be there for me
Cry for me, cry for me
You said you'd die for me
Give to me, give to me
Why won't you live for me
(Repeat)

Love that song... and I love your outfit as well.
Nice lyrics. But not as nice as your supermodel pose :O)
Look fierce there.
Funny enough last weekend while I was at a boutique, they were playing a Lauryn Hill from that fantastic Miseducation CD. One of my faves too.
The store owner and I were reminiscing how talented she was and had an amazing raw unique voice....she had so much staying power and industry respect...could have been up there with the likes of Mary J Blige. It was really too bad that she went crazy.
Store owner mentioned he has a sound engineer friend who actually worked on a Lauryn Hill album a couple of years ago...and it was messed up. Her and her entourage was high on MJ, she was out of it, part of some weird religious cult. She was so out of it..that usually some staff on site would have take care of her children. very sad.
cute top! :D
fabulous boots! yeah i liked hill's can't take my eyes off version!
Replying to your question: lowrey salt is like a seasoning salt for meats such as steak. I believe it's got a little more flavor than just regular salt.
You look great. Poor Lauryn Hill. She went crazy.
Hmmm, my word verification is "lotions."
Hey there. How are you? I hope you had a great weekend. I really like your blog. Enjoy the week ahead. Cheers!
miseducation of lauryn hill is amazing. too bad she went crazy...
1. i love your outfit.
2. those lyrics...are amazing. :) i love really "getting" and relating to a song especially in a moment of time where that is straight up your life.
Amazing lyrics! And against others I do appreciate them a lot more than images :-)
Hope you have a lovely week, cheers: Evi
i've so been there with this song - cried my heart out to it...love it.
