Booties: too old to remember
I'm not sure how the lighting got like that on these photos, but it was au natural, no photoshop tinting! I kinda like the weird tint, it fits the outfit. I felt very 90s grunge in this ugly-pretty mess. It's a bit of granny chic, no? The sweater over the dress, the opaque tights and the somewhat clunky shoes, it's all very granny-ish, but I kinda like it for that reason. Sometimes it's fun to purposely look a little un-done and unpretty. Thank goodness for v-necks though because I think without it this outfit would look really frumpy! What do you think?

ooo get fake glasses and drink some tea with that outfit! =)
I'm with you on v-necks - they take the frump out of everything! You look adorable darling!! :)
I love granny chic looks and your outfit is not at all frumpy.
I think you look adorable.

The color of the v-neck makes the outfit work! Did you pair this with a cute scarf or any other accessories?
Personally love granny-chic (: the dress pattern looks cute! (and love the lighting!)
All you need are some pearls and glasses with a chain hehehhee!
i love v-necks, and i think the outfit looks great!
i agree about looking undone and unpretty sometimes. it takes real beauty to pull it off, don't you think?

i agree about the v neck. :)
You look very pretty : ) I've never been to a TopShop but there's one in the city where I'm working now, so I'm excited! I hear their stuff runs pretty small.
I like the idea of the V-neck on top of the dress. You look comfy and stylish.

I don't know if it's possible for you to look UN-pretty.
same sentiments with the above...you this sweet pretty thing going on (and unbeknown to many a kickass chick) that any outfit looks good on you. I really like those booties though..been thinking of buying some comfy ones to stomp around in
loooving granny chic
altho i prefer to call it antique chic! the colors are sooo pretty together and it looks sooo cozy!
You're so purdy. I love v necks, I'd be lost without them.
i like that tint as well .my bf who is great with photoshop used to put that on my photos . but he would photoshop it on
deffo agree - a simple v neck can transform and outfit - you look so cute!

@Vanessa Choot: I don't need fakes, I got me some real glasses! haha
@Elisse: Nope, I wear my outfits in these shots pretty much straight off the street
@Evee @Damsels: ooh good tip! haha the lighting was a total accident
you so do not look granny like, you look so cute!!
hardly granny, but yes to the chic !
xx lue
v-necks are the best thing in the world!!
id hardly desribe your outfit as granny! i love the vintage-y tint too! v-necks are the perfect balance to a long skirt!
The v-neck was definitely a good choice! I think a turtleneck or anything else would have made it a bit too 'granny'. The boots were a great choice as well. I occasionally try the grunge granny chic, but men seem to hate this look. Then again, what do they know? ;-)
its cute! not tooo grannylike. but you def look cute. go you!
lighting like that is called "january sun" ha
