Recently I was inspired by other's inspirations boards into starting to keep track of my own current inspirations. Like most people I have a folder where I save pictures I used in blog posts, but nothing that cohesively encapsulated all the elements that caught my sartorial eye. For my first attempt at an inspiration board, I went through my many folders and put together a collage of my current favourite items. Some of these images are quite old, but I found the experience rewarding as it really is a great way to look at what you're inspired by overall, and to pick out individual themes. For myself, some of these themes include:
- Casual elements such as soft, slightly oversized and one-shoulder tops, leather and chain accessories, cowboy boots
- Prim and proper with a flirty twist: classic red lips, extremely structured patent leather totes
- Girly girl: lace, floral dresses, blush pink trenches, kawaii Japanese nail art, light pastel tones in grey, pinks and white
- Edgy Glamour: high heeled pumps, metallics, mini-skirts
- Flawless skin with soft, natural makeup, or a soft smoky eye

I cannot wait for spring to officially arrive. I'm in love with floral everything right now, dove grey colors, and ooh I'm still on the hunt for the perfect red lipstick.
I'm all about the red pout right now. I've never been one to rock the red lips, but I did it in NYC and can't get enough now! Such a beautiful inspiration board chock full of fabulosity! And thanks for your sweet comment about my outfit on Sat. I always get so nervous about posting pics of myself. Gotta get over that. : )

Awesome inspiration board! I'm loving girly dresses mixed in with a bit of edge. But nautical themes have definitely caught my eye as of late.
