Lust of the Week: TFNC Batwing lace top from Asos
Lately, I've been all about the romantic look and in particular, the look of lace. What is it about this material that so fascinates the senses? Is it the artistic appreciation one visualizes when imagining the painstaking intricacy of lace pieces, or the soft yet sexy appeal that lace evokes? Is it the scratchy, but delicateness of the texture that excites your fingertips, or the sartorial possibilities for dressing up, or down, or any which way in-between? I think it could very well be all of the above. The slouchy, off-shoulder look of this lace top makes me weak in the knees and I love how the casual vibe offsets the formal feel of the lace. It can be hard to wear lace without looking overly sexualized, or old-fashioned, which is a very odd combination of extremes to contemplate. This batwing top however, embodies a perfect balance of modernity, grace, and sweetness that I find highly lust-worthy. Would you wear this item and if so, how?

Either I'd tuck it into a high-waisted or belted skirt (nothing flimsy) or just pair with jeans :)
loves it. i would totally rock it with a black tulip skirt with a belt and stacked heels. and def with some fierce accessories.

I love this top (and could definitely rock it in humid Singapore) I'd pair it with leggings or maybe even a pencil skirt.

Love the off the shoulder look. It's so sexy. I'd definitely wear it, perhaps tucked into a pencil skirt, sleek pony and a pair of large hoop earrings?
love that lace top! I love anything lace right now, but I keep buying black lace when I've been meaning to venture into white lace lol, oh well. I can't do the bat wing look too well, I only have one sweater with sleeves like that otherwise, it looks awful haha.
