Life has been a bit exhausting lately. Work and outside work work is just always piling up and sometimes I think it would be fun to be bored once in awhile. On the other hand, I am having fun with all the exciting opportunities that are in the works and that have taken place. The title of this post is from one of my favourite songs and it's a song that's always struck a chord with me, having lived through the story of it. Today it's gotten me wondering about past relationships and how things change from then and now. What do you do when the past that you felt grateful to leave behind, becomes grateful to have seen you leave? It's a comforting thought to oneself when you are able to have the strength to leave an unhealthy situation, but oh how horrible it is when you see that the situation seems to have corrected itself - without you and for someone else, as if being freed of you suddenly made it better. Were you then the catalyst for change, or the cause of the pain? Or were you simply just not worth changing for? The problem with self-reflecting is that you often end up in circular thought patterns. At least fashion is a little simpler.
