Mr. Artist always laughs at me for liking what can be described as "angry music", but when I say that angry music makes me happy, I'm quite serious! There is something about a song that is raw, tortured, and emotional that is just as moving as a song that has a good beat and Nirvana definitely fits that bill. They are epic. Time to educate yourself.

Much has been said to interpret what the lyrics of Heart Shaped Box means, and nobody but Kurt can say for sure. To me, the song seems to a lament to the loss of innocence and the blame for that is on some mystery woman (popular opinion is Courtney Love). This woman is referred to sarcastically almost, as "Your Highness" and she is someone who he used to think was pure and who he still wishes he could change, but you can't change some people and thus, his sadness. He is trapped in her darkness as tightly as he was trapped with her when he thought she was perfect. Pretty deep huh? I love how the lyrics make you think, like poetry!
