Life is no Nintendo game

Sweater, blazer, purse: Zara
Shorts: Urban Behaviour
Shoes: Seychelles

Tights: Hong Kong

I wore this outfit awhile ago when the weather was in that perfect state where one can wear anything from a t-shirt to a light sweater and still be comfortable. I love this outfit for its mix of soft tones, from the purple of the tights, to the light pink of my sweater to the soft metallic taupe of my shoes. As well, this floral cross-body purse was one of my best purchases in a while as it's the perfect size to just fit my bare bare essentials when I just want to run out the door.

When my coworker sent me this song last week, I was immediately impressed with Rihanna's vocals and of course, the very personal lyrics of the song. Love the Way You Lie, is the latest duet between Eminem and Rihanna and is all about domestic abuse. It's an issue that hopefully none of us ever have to face, but too many do. While I have never been in a physically abusive relationship, I can emphasize with how the abused can get trapped into an unhealthy cycle. If you know someone in this situation, try not to judge them, but be there for them. You may not agree with their actions, but they need you more than they probably realize. This song is another example of how music can perfectly express in words and melody something complex.

I've been looking for a pair of decent shorts for the longest time, all the ones I see in shops are SO short and I highly doubt any1 wants to see my cottage cheese bum cleave - unless they're dairy farmers.
To answer your question, Sasa's Canadian shipping is a flat rate of $16 if your order is under $100. Shipping is free if your order is over $100.
There's a new cosmetics shop on the 3rd floor of Aberdeen that sells the Hadalabo lotion for around $19
Hope that helps!

Cool outfit.

I like Rihanna a lot since the beginning. That song is great and her voice better.
The music always can express bad things and make something beautiful from it.

Cute purse and outfit, but it depresses me a little because it is so reminiscent of fall!! I haven't worn tights in months and I'm not looking forward to it!!! Hopefully our Vancouver summer will be a little kinder to us and extend itself this year because it started so late!

Have a great day!!

My first work friends (I was 16) were a great couple who had both just graduated from high school. They decided to move in together. He got a better job and over the course of the summer she and I got to be really close. When school started I didn't see her much, since she worked days and I could only work nights. But then one night she volunteered to close with me and give me a ride home. On the way home she stopped in a secluded spot and I was afraid she wanted to cheat on her boyfriend. Instead she burst into tears--her boyfriend was beating her. Being 16, I told her to take me to him and I would put a stop to it (at that age, kicking his butt seemed the best answer), but she made me promise I wouldn't interfere. She just wanted to talk. So we sat there for 2 hours talking, with her crying on my shoulder (literally). I knew enough to tell her she hadn't done anything wrong, she didn't deserve it, but mostly I just listened. We talked off and on over the next few weeks and finally she left him. I don't know how a man could do that to someone he supposedl loves. Well, a "man" couldn't.

PS - You look amazing! Sorry for the long comment.

It's such an amazing song <3 The first time I heard it though I was in a foul mood for the rest of the night, because it just made me think of way too many negative things but I guess that's not always a bad thing...better to be aware! Anyway, glad I stumbled upon your blog, will be sure to visit it again, it's always exciting to find other bloggers in Vancouver!

ahhh I saw this outfit when I was in Whistler but didn't have a computer w/internet to actually see the whole thing, just my crappy blackberry haha. any way I love this entire outfit, esp your shoes! it's totally something I would wear, very simple and chic. I can't believe those shorts are UB, you totally rock'em like they're from Club Monaco!
