Lust of the week: Furla Laila belted leather shopper

Right now I'm obsessed with the modern minimalism look.  It takes real craft to make simple things, complex.  Like a piece of art, you could easily brush a bag like this off as super plain and boring, but I ask you to take a longer look.  A simple design puts the stress on craftsmanship, like straight stitching, quality materials, and unique, subtle details.  This shopper from Furla echoes the clean aesthetic of Chloe and Fendi, but with a more mainstream edge.  The combination of cream, cognac, and black leather is soothing and appealing to the eye.  Inside, this bag is comfortably roomy with an interior zip pocket and slots for your wallet and phone.  Simple and sophisticated: remember these words this season as they are words to live by.

oh this is definitely a beautiful bag. i like the simplicity of it. pricetag is big but not as bad as an lv or prada purse.

I have to admit that I'm unfamiliar with "Chloe and Fendi", but my appreciation for simple and sophisticated runs deep.

Jeebus, I was JUST looking at this bag on the Nordies site too! However, you know what disappoints me about this bag? It's a magnetic closure! When I first saw it, I thought, wow, so clean, so minimalistic, and then when you look at it from the top-BAM! It's an open bag with a magnet closure. No thanks, I'll keep saving for that Celine bag :)

But-I have to say, you have great taste Mz J ;)

Such a clean chic look! I love the minimalism style as well and this tote has such a Celine feel to it. The perfect bag for the resort season!

Furla bags are always minimalist but so beautiful and classic. I agree w you..this is a stunner.
I owned a lilac colored one years ago (lost it in a move) and although lilac leather sounds horrific, it was such a beautiful. So well made.
Stopping in for the first time. Following now and definitely be back:)

I's torn between this bag and bayswater from mulberry. which one should I get??

@Anon: hmm tough choice! Both are classic, gorgeous bags. I'm leaning more towards the Furla actually, b/c it's more unique, but the Mulberry IS a Mulberry, so if that's more important to you and having leather, than go for that one!
