Lust of the Week: Dooney & Bourke Florentine Satchel

I've been having a moment for cross-body bags for awhile.  In fact, I own several, in various sizes.  For summer, I long to shuck off my usual blacks for something warmer, more organic, like this buttery soft leather satchel from Dooney & Bourke.  I don't know much about this designer, but I do really enjoy the details on this leather doctor bag: the multitude of buckles and snaps, the tassel pulls, and of course, that detachable shoulder strap! This bag would be perfect for a summer music festival to tote around a water bottle and light jacket for evening concerts, perhaps even some fast flats if your footsies get chilled!  Has anyone had experience with this brand?

I know nothign about this brand, but the design reminds me a lot of Mulberry bags (which are fantastic by the way). I'm not sure about the tassle detail, but the rest looks good!

An old friend of mine LOVES DB bags. The only thing I remember about her collection was that each bag had a really interesting...um, clasp? Is that what the locking mechanism is called? Anyway, it got my attention--not unlike the way a locket watch would. =)

Have a greta weekend!

I've been eyeing this bag ever since last Fall!

I find it to be SUCH a perfect replacement for us who cannot afford an Alexa Mulberry (even though the styles aren't as similar - in fact I prefer this one better..)
