Lust of the Week: Mulberry Polly Push-lock satchel

Purse Blog is a terrible obsession for me - does anyone else have it too?  I am constantly seeing bags to lust for on that damn site and this is one of them.  At first glances at the post, I wasn't super impressed.  I liked the hardy textured leather of the satchel as well that classic prepster vibe, but I knew that the little tote handle wasn't my style.  It was too ladylike and preppy and I prefer a bit of a laid back edge.  If only it had a cross-body strap to make it more downtown style I mused and lo and behold it does!  Now I am instantly in lust with it.  Something about the option of the two strap styles really has a hold on me, although it would be rather unlikely I'd ever use the top handle unless I was channeling my inner granny.  Knowing me, it's possible.

BTW readers, there will be no Friday post as tomorrow's Canada Day!  I'll be off, channeling my Canadian spirit by sleeping in, stuffing my face, and going to the Britney Spears concert.  Have a great Canada Day eh??  (Yes, we do actually say that)

What does one stuff her face with on Canada Day??

OMG, OMG, OMG, someone finally admitted that the "eh" actually exists. Thank you!!! =)

I have the lowest possible level of interest in bags, but I have to admit that is a really nice one.

Happy Canada Day, MizzJ. The USA turns 235 on Monday, but we're telling everyone we're 229 again.

I've never been an avid reader of that site, I imagine I would probably gain a purse obsession.

Love this one for reals. It's gorge.

I make an effort to stay away from anything with purses and shoes...otherwise I'll never be able to eat!
Britney concert eh? Did she actually sing this time around? I went to her Circus concert (the one where she disappeared for an hour cos of the ganja smoke) and we're still wanting our money back!
Haha yep! Michelle does write for the Georgia Straight! We descended upon hapless lil her and recruited her into our "cliche". Poor girl.
Boo at bad swag!
Anyway, hope you had a great Canada Day stuffing yourself with poutine!

You really can't go wrong with Mulberry. I used to read Purse Blog all the time but it's just too dangerous and filled with temptation. I still think I prefer Mulberry's slouchier styles, but this is a good option for a structured bag.

What did you think of the Britney concert? I was there too (I was fortunate to win tickets and not have to pay for them).

@Tammy: the concert was great! I actually wrote a review of the concert for Speakerboxxx if you're interested: http://www.speakerboxxx.com/2011/07/concert-review-britney-spears-femme-fatale-tour-in-vancouver/

i like my bags a little more laid back and edgy as well...so the shoulder strap definitely makes this bag do-able! glad you enjoyed the concert, i'll check out your review.
