Half proper and half edgy, an envelope clutch in a bright, eye-catching color and unique texture is just my cup of tea. These Elaine Turner clutches for example, are just what I was thinking:
Stingray seems like a very strange material for a bag, but apparently bags made of stingray are quite strong! I own a couple of eel-skin handbags and love the rich, durable feel that it has, so if stingray is anything like eel, then sign me up! This gorgeous clutch comes in several colors, but I'm really feeling the teal here, which I have a tingling will be a hot color for me for Spring.
On the other side of the leather spectrum, ostrich normally isn't something I'm very fond of at all, but this bag is making me eat my words. Previously, the thought of carrying anything that resembles raw chicken skin would make my skin crawl, but I have to admit this clutch has me all mixed up. One moment, I feel a slight revulsion, especially since it's a nude tone, but then the next moment I feel myself charmed by its sophisticated, simple look. Perhaps it wouldn't be so chicken-like in person?
Do either of these clutches have you lusting?

Ooh! Envelope clutches. The materials used for the two you mentioned are quitee interesting. haha. But I do love that first one. The color is so pretty!
I love that green stingray. It has this amazing sheen. sigh....
Those are very cool clutches! As for tall, leggy style icons, I prefer cabaret singers. =)
Oh, I searched for "things guys say". I found a LOT of articles (apparently men are as difficult to uderstand as we say women are), but nothing like the funny video series on things girls say.
You will eat your words when you see beautiful beautiful rich red ostrich!!
I am slightly in lust right now with a crocodile clutch.

I personally really like ostrich leather. The blips make it so unique!
love both of these picks. That green is a great eye catcher. I've never felt stingray but I know eel is quite soft so perhaps stingray is the same? Just wonder though whether it's sustainably harvested (or if there is such a thing).
@abeautifullife I've heard stingray is quite soft as well!
oooh likey
bcbg has amazing printed envelop clutches
wow i do love that ostrich skin purse. but when u mentioned its suppose to ressemble skin it was kind of creepy haha!
augh the ostrich clutch totally looks like chicken skin!!! (but only because you mentioned it - if you hadn't, i would have also liked the sophisticated but simple look).
and crazy, i've never heard of stingray as a bag material either. (or eel, or ostrich)
these clutches are fab!!!! i want them too... been searching for a cute and reasonable priced clutch, unsuccessful...

They are both really pretty. I didn't know they made bags out of stingray. I am really curious about what it feels like and how it holds up. Plus, the color is gorgeous.
